After that make sure that in the decoder tab of creative sound settings you enable the dolby and dts digital bitsream out instead of the "use built-in decoders" setting. First in the THX Speaker Configuration you must set it as 5.1. In creative sound settings you have two settings. You must set everything to 5.1 and tell the player you use (MPC or KODI or PDVD or arcsoft) to output spdif. Tell me how are you playing that file on windows? I think you might be using some decoder that does the downmixing to stereo pcm or maybe in windows sound config or creative sound panel. The real assholes are from DOLBY and DTS. TBH i would never do that but i understand creative staff are not to blame. Or u can buy the new creative card Z but knowing that in 5 years time the support for dolby and dts will END AGAIN im not sure if u should buy it. Thats a huge improvement over direct sound from windows and if the audio is non compatible i can always use ffdshow to encode it to AC3 in real time. I can use the in built Dolby and dts decoding(not sure if is that waht you want.in my case i never used DDL and dts connect for nothing, always sent any audio through spdif out to the inbuilt decoders that x-fi cards have). I have creative xtreme music my self and even knowing i dont need that crap of dolby and dts encoding i want it because i deserve to have it because I BOUGHT IT CREATIVE AND DOLBY SCUMS. So if you discover a way todo that be kind to share it with me.
It frightned me up how they were able to do that. Ive searched to exaustuion and no luck Even got some torrent file from TPB but no seeds or leechers. So that method were removed from the web completly. Everyone used it for about 1 year or less until DOLBY scums nottest that and asked creative to remove evrything or they would pay a fine. What happened? Well AFAIK daniel_k discovered a way to crack ddl and dts connect keys and posted on creative foruns. Ive found several foruns (including creative own forum) and some russian with keys that were locked or removed 3 years ago. Months ago i had that paranoia and searched the web for it.
